Imam Grandson, Iranian President Condole Tabatabai’s Passing Away

The grandsons of the founder of the Islamic Republic and Iranian President Hassan Rouhani have extended his condolences on occasion of passing away of Seyed Sadegh Tabatabai.

Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Hassan Khomeini has extended his condolences to the bereaved family and his friends


Late Seyed Sadegh Tabatabai , who recently passed away, has been  brother in law of  late Hajjat al-Islam Seyyed Ahmad Khomeini, son of the founder of the Islamic Republic and nephew of Imam Musa Sadr.


Meanwhile, President Rouhani, in a message, has forwarded his condolences on the death of Seyed Sadegh Tabatabai, who served as the government spokesman under Prime Minister, Mehdi Bazargan, and was the nephew of Imam Musa al-Sadr.


This condolence message partly reads that late Sadegh Tabatabai is part of the history of Iran’s Islamic Revolution. This message also forwarded its condolences to the bereaved family of late Tabatabai.


Late Tabatabai suffered from lung cancer and was transferred to a hospital in Germany for medical treatment. He passed away on Friday at the age of 71.


He has rendered great services and severed on various positions following victory of the Islamic Revolution following victory in 1979.


He has left a lot of memoirs about the great Imam and events leading to emergence of the Islamic Revolution


It is noteworthy that Imam established a comprehensive Islamic-democratic system following the victory of Islamic Revolution in 1979. The progressive Islamic government brought prosperity and development for the nation in coming years. 


Imam Khomeini the founder of the Islamic Republic frequently said that Islam was fully capable of establishing progressive democratic system.
