The Imam would dissuade us from occupying key and sensitive positions. For instance he did not approve of his daughter becoming member of the legislative assembly because he would argue that, “I do not want people to get the feeling and impression that the daughter of such and such person has occupied so and so post because of her being my relation” or he would say “we have not started a revolution to distribute the key positions among ourselves; and basically you must not go after such positions so that such a rumour does not take enter people’s mind. There are thousands of other jobs that you can occupy.”
