The city of Najaf was experiencing extremely hot weather conditions such that on some occasions the temperature would rise to above fifty degrees Celsius making people extremely uncomfortable. One day along with a number of companions, we paid a visit to the Imam and told him: “Sir, this heat is intense and you are elderly. In the nights, all the people depart for (town of) Kufa. There the climate is better and you ought to go there as well.” The Imam replied: “How can I go to Kufa for its good climate whereas my brethren are languishing in harsh prison conditions in Iran?”
