When we went to pay a visit to the Imam after his surgery, he never mentioned he was having any pain and discomfort—of course it all depended on how we phrased the question. If we would just enquire about his health, he would simply reply: “I am feeling fine; I am not feeling bad.” However if we asked whether he was having pain, because he never lied he would always say that he was having pain. Whenever I asked him whether he was having pain or not he responded: “My entire body is aching.”
