The ceremony to mark the martyrdom of the infallible succor of the holy prophet of Islam was held at the residence of Grand Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani on Monday, Jamaran news agency reported
The gathering was also attended by Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic and several other intellectual and seminary clerics and people from various walks of life.
It is noteworthy that Imam Khomeini, the world religious and spiritual leader frequently emphasized to follow the footsteps of the holy prophets of Islam and his infallible successors.
Imam Muhammad el Baqir was said to have been high esteemed for his learning and eloquence. Imam Baqir (PBUH) received the title of Baqir (Splitter of knowledge) due to his ample knowledge of Deen and his enthusiasm to teach to other people.
Many historians asserts that the infallible successor of the holy prophet split open knowledge, that is scrutinized it and examined the depths of it so that it can be spread to all people truly and correctly.
