Hezbollah leader denounces Saudi handling of Mina tragedy

The leader of Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah says Saudi regime forces acted like the Daesh terrorist group during the recent tragedy in Mina.

Denouncing the handling of crush and stampede outside the holy city of Mecca, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary general of Hezbollah  emphasized  that  the behavior of Saudi agents and forces towards pilgrims and victims of the tragedy bear a striking similarity to the Takfiri Daesh terrorist group. 


The Hezbollah leader made remarks while addressing to a recent gathering which were held on the eve of the holy month of Muharram. 


The crush took place after two large masses of pilgrims converged at a crossroads in Mina, a few kilometers east of the holy city of Mecca, during the symbolic ceremony of the stoning of Satan in Jamarat.


Saudi Arabia claims nearly 770 people were killed in the incident, but officials at Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization say about 4,700 people, including 464 Iranians, lost their lives in the tragedy.
