Supreme leader says the allegiance of Iranian armed forces to Imam Khomeini has been a guiding start in the history of the Iranian Islamic Revolution.
Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei made remarks while in a meeting with the commanders and staff of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force on Monday.
The remarks come days before the 37the anniversary of the revolution, which brought esteem, honor and strength for the Iranian nation and the oppressed people around the globe.
The leader went onto say that allegiance by the Iranian Air Force on February 8, 1979 proved a guiding star in the history.
Iranian Air Force and other armed force joined the people in a bid to follow the footsteps of Imam Khomeini days before the final victory of the revolution.
The move is considered a milestone and breakthrough as it led to a total collapse of Shah regime and paved the way for establishment of the Islamic-democratic system.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the leader emphasized that standing along the public and masses attract and draw their support and backing. He also advised the wide participation of people in the upcoming landmark parliamentary and Assembly of Expert elections.
