The ceremony will be held on March 12 at the Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum which is located on the suburbs of the Iranian capital Tehran. Late Ahmad Khomeini’s burial place is also located within the same holy site.
The gathering would be led by Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the founder of the Islamic Republic and other members of Imam’s family. The evening congregational prayers would also be led by him at the holy site.
Several seminary and university figures, officials, and people from various walks of life would also be at the attendance.
Late Ahmad Khomeini, the son of the founder of the Islamic Republic has been widely praised by devotees because he stood behind his father during all thick and thin times. He always remained with Imam during tough and exile times when Imam was leading and monitoring the struggle for the Islamic Revolution.
He had also remained the most trusted figure and right-hand of Imam Khomeini.
The Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini in 1979 resulted in downfall of Pahlavi regime of Shah against the wishes of colonial powers.
Imam on several occasions had praised the wisdom, sacrifices and untiring efforts by his son for the Islamic Revolution.
The Islamic revolution changed the balance of power in the interest of the entire Muslim community, and also strengthen the oppressed nations against colonial powers in various parts of the world.
Imam Khomeini’s academic and divine legacy is becoming increasingly popular by the passage of time and continue to appeal the free-minded and truth-seekers around the globe.
