Zarif hails Germany stance on current realities in Middle East

Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif tells a visiting senior German official that Berlin plays a pivotal role in the Mideast region and international developments.

Zarif also hailed Germany's stance on the current realities in the Middle East during a meeting with Markus Ederer, the state secretary of Germany’s Federal Foreign Office, in the Iranian capital Tehran on Tuesday.


“Germany, despite certain European and Western players, holds no negative view to the existing realities in the region,” Iranian foreign minister said, adding, “Such a view is regarded as an important factor for [those] extra-regional players that seek peaceful solutions to solve regional crises.”


The top Iranian diplomat also highlighted the importance of constant consultations between Iranian and German officials on cultural, economic, political and parliamentary issues.


The Iranian foreign minister also emphasized that the two countries should facilitate trade and economic exchanges and joint venture deals.


Ederer has held talks with senior Iranian officials in Tehran on the latest bilateral, regional and international developments.


It is mention to worthy that Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic through his speeches and messages frequently recommended the Iranian officials to maintain close bilateral relations with all world nations.
