The residence, which is visited by thousands of academics, students, intellectuals, pilgrims and tourists each year, is located in Jamaran district which is located in northern part of Tehran
The students were briefed about Imam Khomeini’s simple life, academic works and the Islamic revolution's history.
The simply-built complex is made up of Imam’s small residence, a Hosseniah, a place where Imam used to deliver speeches and lectures, and received thousands of people on daily basis from various walks of life.
The visitors usually also visit a nearby art gallery where object regarding the revolution's history are kept.
It is notable that Imam Khomeini distributed all his personal belongings and lands among needy people and famers in his ancestral city of Khomein. He opted to live very simple life even after becoming founder of the Islamic Revolution.
Al-Asr Islamic School teaches core lessons from the Holy Quran and the life of the Ahlulbayt (Peace be upon them), with a deeper understanding of the various Islamic sciences.
