According to the Committee, Riyadh regime is also using starvation against the Shia population inside Saudi Arabia itself.

The UN experts made the declaration in a scathing report on Saudi rights abuses in Yemen and inside Saudi Arabia.

Eighteen independent experts from the committee harshly criticized Riyadh for its airstrikes on Yemen, which have killed and maimed hundreds of children.

The UN watchdog also strongly censured Saudi regime over a wide range of rights violations against children, including stoning, flogging, executing and amputating them.

The experts also expressed deep concern in the report that children in the minority Shia Muslim communities inside Saudi Arabia continue to be subject to discrimination with regard to access to food, school, and justice.

The committee said that Riyadh “still does not recognize girls as full subjects of rights and continues to severely discriminate (against) them in law and practice and to impose on them a system of male guardianship.”

The UN body also said urged Riyadh to repeal laws that are lenient on the sexual abuse of children as well as their incarceration in solitary confinement.

It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic through his speeches exposed the crimes being committed by ruling Al Saud family against Muslim Ummah.
