“Undoubtedly, the development and progress of the region's countries and nations will benefit the stability and security of all,” the Iranian president stated.

Rouhani made remarks in a recent meeting with Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah al-Khalid al-Hamad al-Sabah in the Iranian capital Tehran.

The Iranian president added that Tehran backs any measures that would promote regional security and stability.

President Rouhani also underlined the need for further promotion of Iran-Kuwait ties in different sectors.

The Kuwaiti foreign minister delivered a message from his country’s emir to the Iranian president during the meeting.

Kuwait’s top diplomat noted that the Kuwaiti nation and government had a great respect for Iran and its instrumental role in the region.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Iranian president emphasized that the power of the Islamic Republic of Iran serves regional security and stability. “The power and capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran have always been aimed at safeguarding regional security and stability and supporting [our] neighbors.”

It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic advised all regional countries to unite in order to confront the Israeli occupational agenda and undertake serious efforts to revive the rights of the oppressed Palestinian nation.
