Moderation, significant characteristic of Ayatollah Rafsanjani

A grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic has said that moderation has been the most significant chart eristic of iconic cleric Ayatollah Rafsanjani, who recently passed away after rendering great services for the Islamic Republic.

Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic made remarks at a recent ceremony held at open Islamic University.


Such a person always paves way of moderation, exercise justice and keeps away from any type of indolence, or exaggeration and any type of extremism, he added


The internationally-reputed scholar also described late Rafsanjani as founding father of the open Islamic university which has played important role in spreading and expanding education and research in various arenas over the past decades.


Elsewhere in his remarks, the scholar said that good governor or manager is someone who takes bold and right decisions and doesn’t have any fear in order to further the objective of an institution.


Ayatollah Rafsanjani played an influential role both during the anti-Shah struggles before the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution and afterwards through various stages of the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran.


The iconic cleric passed away at the age of 82 due to a heart condition. Several Iranian and world figures had expressed condolences over the death of the former president.
