It has been recalled through a series of memoirs that Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic shed tears after listening words of thanks uttered by mother of a martyr.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said through a memoirs that he delivered a speech in an Iranian city during time of his presidency.
After delivering the speech, Ayatollah Khamenei moved to get into a motorcade. This is while he heard a voice of a women calling him in a loud voice. she wanted to convey a historic message through him to Imam Khomeini.
Ayatollah Khamenei, who was president at the time, stopped to know about women’s quest and to answer her problem.
She requested Ayatollah Khamenei to convey her homage and respect to Imam. She went onto say that her only son who had been captured by Saddam regime forces during the Iraqi imposed war against Iran and was imprisoned there had been martyred by brutal Saddam regime in an Iraqi jail.
The women wished that if she had another son, she would have presented it for the divine cause as well.
After listening the message of martyrs’ mother, Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic had been deeply impressed and tears were flowing down his cheeks
