Ayatollah Boroujerdi had enormous respect for Imam Khomeini, and this respect was both mutual and reciprocal. Mr. Boroujerdi had intense affection for the Imam and sent him on important missions. For instance, there was an incident in the holy city of Mashhad, which lasted for two months; Imam was given the mission and full power to manage the affairs. Again to the city of Nahavand, where there was a problem, Mr. Boroujerdi sent the Imam on his behalf and commissioned him to solve the problem.
