A cultural-literary Festival is held
The Fifth Yar and Yadegar Festival
Hamid Honarjo, who is the head of the fifth literary Yar and Yadegar Festival, talked of the new approach portrayed in this festival, which will focus on the social and behavioral aspects of Imam Khomeini’s characteristics. The Imam Khomeini Portal and bloggers were invited to participate and help in this festival. In addition ‘The Institute of Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s Works’ played an active role in organizing this festival.

Hamid Honarjo, who is the head of the fifth literary Yar and Yadegar Festival, talked of the new approach portrayed in this festival and said: “In the four previous years, this festival aimed at honouring Imam Khomeini, who was a political figure and changed history, and in special sections honoured the Imam’s close relations, companions and family. This year’s festival will focus on the social and behavioral aspects of Imam Khomeini’s characteristics.”
Mr. Honarjo also said: “The fifth literary Yar and Yadegar Festival has been divided into three sections, which are labeled main, special and subsidiary. The main section is labeled ‘Imam Khomeini, the father of all kindness’, which concentrates on ‘Family being the basis of society’, ‘Respect to parents’ and ‘Mutual respect between mothers, fathers and children’.”
Mr. Honarjo further added: “This Festival will portray a new social, emotional, behavioral and familial approach to Imam Khomeini’s thought in order to show what kind of a great example Imam Khomeini was in the social and familial field. In addition the new section, named ‘With the web bloggers’ or ‘A letter to the Imam’ has been initiated so that the opinions of the fourth generation (of Iranians after the revolution) regarding Imam Khomeini can be shown.”
He continued to say: “With the help of the Imam Khomeini Portal and bloggers, the secretariat of the fifth literary Yar and Yadegar Festival intends to write blogs which address the Imam. These blogs will act like a sort of a dialogue with the Imam. In this section special blogs will be chosen and presented.”….. “The subsidiary division is called ‘Imam Khomeini and Islamic Awakening’ and was chosen due to the current uprisings against oppression in the region. The topic ‘The Youth: The future of Islamic Iran’ is a subdivision of the subsidiary division.”
Those who are interested can send the festival their works in the form of poems, stories, literary articles and prose, and blogs. Any age group can participate and the secretariat is ready to receive any works or comments. The email address which belongs to this festival is yarvayadegar@imam-khomeini.ir. The secretariat has a permanent residence throughout the year, which is at: The institute of compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s works, Sowdeh Rd., Yasir Rd., Niyavaraan Rd., Tehran, Iran. The festival will accept works, which are sent by post, from the 20th of February 2012 up to the 5th of March 2012.
Mr. Honarjo also named the members of the diplomatic assembly of the fifth year of this festival and said: Dr. Hamid Ansari, who is the deputy head of The Institute of Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini’s Works, Hamid Honarjo, Ali Asghar Sa’adati, Sohrab Haadi, Abd al-Rasool Visaal and Muhammad Reza Hishmati are the members of the diplomacy assembly of the fifth literary Yar and Yadegar Festival.”
