International Affairs Department of the Institute for compilation and publication of works of Imam Khomeini has compiled, designed and published the lunar and Gregorian 2012 calendar titled "Imam Khomeini and the Islamic Awakening". This task was accomplished on the eve of the New Year in order to introduce the institute on the international level and enlighten the thoughts of Imam's foreign audiences.
Moreover, this calendar introduces graphic works about Imam Khomeini, charter of the International Affairs department and works of the institute. It also reviews history of establishment of the institute, strategies, activities, objectives and cultural activities of the International Affair Department and the institute over the past 20 years.
We also read an article titled "Imam Khomeini and the Islamic Awakening" in the beginning pages of calendar. The pages showing dates are decorated with beautiful pictures and short sayings of Imam in English and Arabic languages regarding the subject of the Islamic Awakening. At the end, the special events and occasions of Sunni and Shia Muslims have been compiled for the foreign readers in two separate chapters. The cultural calendar as a cultural and promotional activity has been included as one of the main and crucial item in the programs of the International Affair Department.
It is worth mentioning that the publication of this calendar has taken place with joint efforts of Oruj Publishing Company and this department.
