Imam Khomeini Was Commemorated in Pakistan

A ceremony for the commemoration of the late Imam Khomeini in occasion of his 23rd demise anniversary was held in Islamabad Pakistan on Sunday at the Iranian Embassy’s mosque.

Alireza Haghighian the Iranian ambassador and the staff of Iranian embassy and culture house, Iranian teachers and heads of Iranian organization in Pakistan and a huge number of the lovers of Imam had participated at this event. During this ceremony a Pakistani university professor described the late Imam’s characteristic.

Dr. Raziah Najafi said: “If one does a research in the life of Imam, he would find a lot of Imam Ali’s (a.s.) specifications in his righteous son, Imam Khomeini.”

He added: “Among these specifications we could mention courage, perseverance, trust and practical monotheism.”

What we should learn today and gain from the late Imam’s spirituality, is his practical way of life, he who like his Imam, Imam Ali (a.s.), looked at the government as a tool for establishing justice and equity.” Najafi stated.

Before her speech other ceremonies such as reciting the Holy Quran and singing a lyric by the students of Imam Hussein (a.s.) school and reciting poems about Imam Ali (a.s.) and Imam Khomeini were performed at this event.

At the end of this event prizes were gifted to those who had participated in a competition about Imam Ali (a.s.) and all those who were named Ali or Amir.
