It has been reported through a series of memoirs that Imam Khomeini used to show interest in exercise and sports activities and considered them the best and healthiest leisure and pastime.

But he did not prefer a particular sport. Of course, Imam was more interested in ancient wrestling than other sports.

For himself, Imam always had a plan of a regular walking and had not given up during his stay during exile in Najaf, and in Qom and Jamaran even after becoming the leader of the Islamic revolution

It has been said that when Imam was imprisoned by the Shah's regime, he used to walk in the solitary cell.

Until the end of his life, Imam used to walk for an hour and a half a day and kept this routine for several years.

Imam used to say: "Do not study in leisure time and do not have fun in study time; Each in its place »
