The current dissertation examines the jurisprudential and legal perspectives of various types of child abuse that emerge in the relationship between children and adults.


 Child abuse was examined from perspectives of basic sources which are the holy Qur'an, tradition; reason (Ijtihad or the process of deduction decrees from basic sources).


It especially focuses on "child sexual abuse" and "psychological child abuse".


In addition, it also reviews emotional damages of such vicious practices and analyzes how jurisprudence, the Iranian and the international law can tackle such abuses.


The research sees how much extent the domestic laws match the existing international law and also compares their confirmatory with the Islamic narrations and guidance of the infallible Imams regarding the issue.
