Anthropological foundations of Velayat-e-Faqih (Islamic governance) from Imam Khomeini's viewpoint

Abstract:


As we know one of the most significant dimensions of mankind has been its dignity and it is widely known as the "best of creatures".


This would have a great impact on our knowledge of universe and absolute existence and could reveal other truths of and the knowledge of the self will lead us towards knowledge of God.


Numerous disorders and confusions of mankind are triggered by a lack of proper knowledge about the universe.


The political theories could be able to run the political affairs of human beings if they observe real known talents, possibilities, and needs.


 The researcher maintains that based on the principle of necessity and logical coordination between the views of anthropological and the philosophical foundations of each thinker with his thoughts; theories and political views could be figured out.


There is an admirable compatibility between the political thought of Imam Khomeini and the theory of absolute guardianship.


Therefore, the bases of the difference between the theory of Imam and other theories of the existing Western government have been clarified.


Imam’s Islamic and western theories have also different look at humans.


 In this way, the possibility of rational defense of the theory of Velayat-e-Faqih is logical, possible and rational. 


The research also aims at explaining the need for coordination between basis and superstructure,


For such a purpose, we have presented examples based on the theories of thinkers based on their anthropology. The author will be also explaining Imam Khomeini's views on different dimensions of man and his worlds.


In addition, the current thesis will be expressing examples of Imam's political thought based on the Islamic view of man and in general his optimism towards the Muslim world.


The research also sees how the theory of Velayat-e-Faqih—Islamic governance-- is compatible with the characteristics of man introduced by Imam Khomeini.


Finaly, it appears that with deepening the anthropological foundations of religion, especially among thinkers such as Imam Khomeini, and comparative study with the theories of Western thinkers in this field, will be very beneficial within in current challenges.
