An internationaly reputed Itanlian female jounalist conducted several interviews with Imam on a range of topics during years following the victory of the Islamic Revolution. She was also deeply influenced by Imam’s dviine personality.
Once she asked Imam that women were forced to wear Islamic veil in Iran.
At this, Imam replied the women had selected the Islamic veil by their own choice and there was no force at all regarding this issue.
In addition to that, Imam also cited the vast participation of the Iranian women in various fields and segment of society.
