Imam Khomeini's commentary on Quran unveiled in Turkish city of Istanbul

A five-volume collection containing Quranic exegesis, which were extracted from Imam Khomeini’s works, has been unveiled at a recent ceremony held in the Turkish port city of Istanbul.

The collection had already been translated into Turkish language and published by Kawthar institute in Istanbul, which promotes scholarly works by Imam and other Shia Muslim scholars.


The translation of the academic work had been done with close coordination of the international departments of the World Assembly of Ahl-ul-Bayt and the institute for compilation and publication of Imam Khomeini’s works.


Qadir Akaras, Khiarian and Dr. Farmanian had been special guests of honor at the ceremony which was attended by a number of the Iranian and Turkish intellectuals.


Hojjat al-Islam Ali Komsari also delivered a virtual speech for the attendees at the ceremony.  


 Imam Khomeini views about Imam Khomeini's views about Quranic interpretation and several other topics were gathered from Imam's works and analyzed by a group of researchers and scholars. 




The views were gathered in form of Quranic interpretation and later translated into some foreign languages.



It is worth-mentioning that on different occasions, Imam interpreted the Holy Quran verses and these interpretations have been compiled in five volumes. This exegesis of the Quranic verses by Imam contains so many niceties and nuances of interpretation.


Imam's Exegesis (Tafsir) of the verses of the Holy Quran can be traced in his works like, "Adab-o-Salah", "Sahifah i-Imam", "Kashf al-Asrar", "Sharh i-Dua i-Sahar", "Sharh i-Chehel Hadith", etc.


It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini, the religious and spiritual leader of the Muslim world frequently used to emphasize on explaining the real message and objectives of the Quranic verses.


Several of Imam Khomeini’s works have been translated into dozens of languages over the some past few years.
