Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Hadi Khosro Shahi recalled through a series of memoirs that Imam Khomeini had been very sensitive about the rights of the people and the preservation of Islamic sites.
Imam once, along his close associate Seyyed Mohammad Sadiq Lavasani, visited the city of Tabriz to have first hand knowledge of well-being of the people and the problems facing the region.
This Imam’s visit dated back several years after the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
During the visit, Imam asserted that the certain place or site had been snatched by the then authorities and actually it belonged to the mosque. Imam insisted that the site should be once again allocated for the worship and prayers.
