Imam made remarks in an interview with Le Momnde Newspaper and said that the Islamic Republic would mean the rule of law would dominate and regulation would be designed and set in accodance with the teachings of Islam.
So the system would also guarantee the democratic values and at the same time the divine relgion of Islam would be present in all perspective of life.
The glorious and honorable of mystery of durability of the Islamic Republic comes from two words: Republic and Islamic; people and Islam; republic means people and Islam means religious democracy.
Imam made remarks at a sensitive juncture of history when the main western media stream was launching a vicious propaganda about the Islamic Revolution. Media conducted with Imam dozens of interview during his stay in exile in Paris just months before the victory of the Islamic Revolution.
