Hojjat al-Islam Komsari made remarks recently while addressing a ceremony which was organized at the institute for compiliation and publication of Imam Khomeini's works to mark an event regarding the history of Islamic Revolution.
The gathering was also attended by civilian and military officials who pledged the ideals of Imam.
Komsari further said that Imam stood against all deviant suggestions which had sought to dissolve the military at the early juncture of the revolution.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Komsari said that Imam’s guidelines regarding freedom, independence and the republic system became even more evident at later stages.
If these mottos and slogans did not exist at those times, we would have been either enslaved or become trapped in clutches of arrogant powers.
The strong leadership of Imam Khomeini in February 1979, which led to the collapse of the former monarchical regime and establishment of the Islamic Republic system, has resulted in various periods of the life of this distinguished Shia scholar be accompanied by important political developments in contemporary times which all freedom and justice seekers of the world cannot forget.
Following Imam’s departure from this world, the hostile powers stepped up their efforts to weaken the very foundations of the Islamic Revolution. But, the people of the country have thwarted all plots masterminded against the Islamic system through their exemplary vigilance.
