Iranian President Pezeshkian praises and lauds Ayatollah Sistani’s support for Iran

Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has praised the stance of senior Iraqi cleric Ayatollah Ali al‑Sistani in support of the Islamic Republic.

In a message posted in Arabic on his X account on Monday, the president expressed appreciation for the wise positions and unwavering support of Grand Ayatollah Sistani toward the Islamic Republic of Iran and those affected by the recent aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime.

Pezeshkian also praised the sympathy, solidarity, and support shown by the Iraqi nation toward the Iranian people, stressing that the source of emulation has always been a strong spiritual refuge and a valuable supporter of the oppressed.

Last March, al-Sistani urged Muslims and free peoples of the world to stand with Iran, warning that the continuation of war risked triggering chaos and instability across the region.
