The grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic said that “preserving this blessing depends on overcoming fruitless internal conflicts or divisions that are the result of egos.”
“There is no doubt about it that we accomplished victory in the recent war and. Today, anyone who calculates with the most stringent yardsticks and criteria will consider the Iranian nation to be the absolute victor."
The reputed scholar said that “all those 39 days of resistance were the lesser struggle (jihad), and from that day on, the greater holy struggle is what we must start with ourselves.”
“Then we will turn into more humble in front of the people and we get more than we imagine from our actions."
He went onto say that the Iranian victory in the US-Israeli aggression had been inspired from Ashura and message of Imam Hossein (‘a).
"A nation that has been chanting the name of the Master of doyen of martyrs since its birth and does not consider life with the oppressors to be anything but a loss, has perseverance in its blood.”
The remarks come amid indirect talks between Iran and the United States to permanently end the US-Israeli war of aggression against the Islamic Republic, which began on February 28 and continued for 40 days.
The unprovoked onslaught—which killed thousands of Iranian civilians as well as top authorities—prompted a decisive response from the Iranian Armed Forces and compelled the aggressors to ask for a ceasefire.
