The Ambassador of Indonesia Visit Imam Khomeini’s Historic House in Khomein

The Indonesian envoy was also briefed about the history of house and were also told that how the great Imam spent his childhood there before moving to Iraq, Qom and other cities of Iran for further education.

He was also explained about the key events which led to the downfall of monarchy and victory of the Islamic Revolution.


The Indonesian official was deeply impressed by simple lifestyle of Imam’s household people and their spiritual and religious leadership role for Muslim world and appreciated Imam’s devotion for his country and the oppressed nations across the globe.


Relevant sources say that hundreds of thousands of domestic and international tourists and pilgrims pay visit to Imam’s simply built residences in Khomein, the holy city of Qom and Tehran each year. 


The simply built residences of Imam attract millions of pilgrims from around the world each year.


The envoy was also informed about precious works of Imam Khomeini in the various fields including jurisprudence, philosophy, poetry and theology. It is noteworthy that several of Imam’s works have been translated into dozens of languages over the past few years. The works are also available in digital library section of this website.


Ruhullah Musawi Khomeini was born on 20 Jamadi al-Akhir 1320/ 24 September 1902- coincidence with the birth anniversary of Hadrat Fatima (PBUH)- in the small town of Khomein, some 160 kilometers to the southwest of the holy city of Qom.


After decades of struggle, the Islamic revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini gained the victory. The Islamic-democratic system establish by the great Imam brought great status and confidence to the Iranian nation and rest of the Islamic world.
