The Imam was extremely kind and affectionate towards the children. On the whole, our family environment was full of amity and warmth. However, at the same time he was very decisive and earnest as well and was always reminding us not to commit wrongdoing and to train ourselves according to Islamic moral behaviour. He would not protest at all however much we would play or create commotion in the house but if he would come to know that a neighbour had been inconvenienced as a result, he would protest strongly and become very upset and demand, “Why did you do this?”
