His Eminence the Imam would always urge us to be careful so as not to commit wrongdoing. Concerning gossiping and backbiting in particular, he believed that when ladies attended get-togethers, they should speak about themselves and not about others. The Imam would say time and again: “Do not lie even in jest.”
