One day by chance when the number of guests to the Imam’s residence exceeded other days, after serving the meal and cleaning the tablecloth, I saw the Imam come into the kitchen. Because it was ritual prayer time and he had to perform ablutions, I asked why he had come into the kitchen. The Imam replied: “I have come to help you because today the number of dishes is too many for all of you to handle.”
