He showed no sign of tiredness and fatigue

Every day, the Imam’s admirers and ardent followers would gather in front of his residence and chant: “We are waiting for Khomeini”—and the Imam would come out of his residence and respond to their feelings. In the first days of the Revolution and when the Imam was residing in Qom, on some days the Imam would meet the people for as long as six hours but would never express or show any sign of tiredness and botheration. From eight in the mornings to one in the afternoons and again from four in the evenings until eight o’clock in the nights, there would be a constant stream of people coming and going to and from the Imam’s residence and on certain nights the people would not leave his residence until ten in the night.
