Belgian tourists visit Imam Khomeini mausoleum

A number of tourists form Belgium have paid their tributes to late founder of the Islamic Republic by visiting his holy shrine.

They paid visit to the holy site which is located on the southern suburbs of the Iranian capital, Tehran.

Talking to reporters, the Belgian tourists said that they became familiar with the history of Islamic Revolution and its founder through media outlets and other channels.

They decided to visit Iran in order to know more about the Iranian culture and society, the tourists said.

The group of tourists stressed that they found the Iranian people very kind and hospitable during their historic trip.

They concluded by saying that Iran has had great enriched history and continue to play main role in the world affairs.

The holy mausoleum of Imam Khomeini, the late founder of the Islamic Republic, has become beacon of religious, spiritual, social and cultural activities in recent years.

Thousands of people including intellectuals, scholars, pilgrims and tourists visit the site from across Iran and other parts of the world each year.

The victory of the Islamic Revolution under wise leadership of Imam Khomeini put Iran on track of progress, and strengthened the developing nations and oppressed people across the globe.
