President Rouhani and his cabinet renewed allegiance to thought and ideals of Imam Khomeini by paying a visit to holy shrine of the late founder of Islamic Republic, on Tuesday.
The president and his accompanied senior officials were warmly received and welcomed at the holy mausoleum by Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini, the grandson of Imam Khomeini.
President Rouhani said that Imam Khomeini has had always been a guide and great backer of the Iranian governments throughout his lifetime.
Addressing the ceremony, Ayatollah Hassan Khomeini also stressed that those who want to move forward on the track of progress, they must also prepare themselves to face certain obstacles and hurdles.
Iranian First Vice President Es’haq Jahangiri said that Imam Khomeini belong to all generations.
So some ones who had experienced the era of Imam, they are responsible to convey real and genuine message of Imam Khomeini and the Islamic Revolution to the future generations, Jahangiri added.
It is worthy to mention that Imam Khomeini’s mausoleum has become beacon of cultural, social, spiritual and religious ceremonies and gatherings in recent years.
The holy site is visited by thousands of pilgrims, intellectuals, officials and tourists from across Iran and the various parts of the world.
