Durable security must be based on justice

A grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic says a durable peace and security in the society must have roots in justice.

Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini made remarks while addressing security officials and police officers during a ceremony held at the holy shrine of Imam Khomeini, which is located on southern part of the Iranian capital.

Highlighting the significance of the topic, the internationally-reputed scholar quoted a narration by Imam Sadiq (PBUH), one of the truthful and infallible successors of the holy prophet of Islam, which describes that people and public masses need security, justice and welfare in the society.

He stressed that a durable security and long-lasting peace should be based on justice.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the grandson of the late founder of the Islamic Republic hailed the ideal and exemplary existing security situation across Iran, saying it has been result of efforts by police and other security forces and law eforcement agencies.

Eelier addressing the ceremony, a senior police official emphasized that independence and durable peace owe to Imam Khomeini, who led the Islamic Revolution to victory in 1979. He also pledged allegiance to Imam’s ideals and vowed to resort to all means in order to enhance and strengthen the country’s security.

It is notable that the victory of Islamic Revolution under the wise leadership of Imam Khomeini put Iran on track of progress and strengthened Iran economically, culturally, socially and militarily.
