Imam Khomeini Struggled Hard to Confront All Types of Ethnic and Tribal Prejudices

A prominent activist says Imam Khomeini the founder of the Islamic Republic struggled very hard in order to confront any divide between Shia and Sunnis and tackled all types of tribal prejudices.

Representative of Lebanon’s Amal Resistance Movement in Tehran Abu Yasser Adul-Aoun made the remark in an interview with a news agency.

He also noted that Imam led the Islamic Revolution and set best patterns to fight against oppressions, global arrogance and imperialism.

Adul-Aoun also noted that several leading religious and spiritual leaders such as Imam Musa Sadr and the current Secretary General of Hezbollah resistance movement Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah followed the same path.

The activist also went on to say that the great Imam inspired the Islamic Awakening and tried hard to expose the true face of imperialism and their Zionist masters.

“Iran’s revolution was the first example of Islamic Awakening in the region. We were inspired by this movement and believe that following the path of the Islamic Revolution, we managed to defeat the Zionist enemy that had occupied Lebanese lands for over a quarter of a century. The resistance movement forced the Zionist enemy out of Lebanon in 2000 by resorting to the line of Islam and the Quran,” said Adul-Aoun.

He also said the great Imam and his disciples emphasized that the only criterion that makes one superior is Taqwa and piety and the great leader set good examples of the following verse from  Surah Hujurat.

“O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has Taqwa…”

Adul-Aoun concluded that  went on to say that the Islamic Revolution and dynamic thought of Imam left vey deep impact in different parts of the world and influenced the followers of various schools of thought.
