Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Tahi a prominent cleric from Sri Lanka made the remarks during an interview in 25th departure anniversary of Imam Khomeini.
The scholar underscores Imam Khomeini as a global leader who had his patronage for all Muslims and oppressed nations.
Imam used to highlight the significance of unity and solidarity to whole Muslim community, the scholar noted.
The intellectual went onto say that Imam's dynamic thought must be pursued and promoted in an appropriate manner through the media and by the Islamic institutions.
The religious scholar also said ignorance, misunderstanding of Islamic values and blind prejudices are the main obstacles on the way to progress and victory for Muslims.
Hujjat al-Islam Tahi reiterated that pursuing the way and thought of Imam which is the same way as adopted by the divine prophets is the only and absolute solution to the problems facing the Islamic world.
The prominent cleric concluded that Imam sacrificed his life to safeguard Islam with morality and based on human values so we have the responsibility to promote his ideas and shield them against any kind of distortion plotted by the enemies.
