Ceremonies were held at Imam Khomeini’s shrine and Husseiniah Jamaran mourning the loss of the third Shia Imam and the grandson of the holy Prophet (saw), Imam Hussein (as).
Thousands of people from different cities came to visit the holy shrine and mourn the day of Ashura. There were several preachers who talked of the day of Ashura and its message.
Many groups started their mourning ceremonies from different places and marched to Imam Khomeini’s shrine, which was where many groups met up.
