According to the reporter of the 23rd Demise Anniversary of Imam Khomeini Committee, the 2nd session of the foreign committee for the Imam Khomeini Commemoration Committee was held at the Institute for Compilation and Publication of Imam Khomeini's Works headquarters.
During this meeting which was held by the attendance of representatives from the Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry, IRIB, AhlulBayt World Assembly and the Foreign Affairs Ministry, Hojatoleslam Dr. Moqaddam, the secretary of the foreign committee by mention to the conference on “Politics and Ethics in Imam Ali’s life through Imam Khomeini’s View” talked about its place and standards and said: “Holding such a two days conference should be done in a place with essential standards and interpreters for the foreign guests.”
He continued: “Our permanent secretariat has been in contact with our representatives for a month to introduce the guests and we have emphasized on receiving a complete list of the guests so we won’t have any problems while they are in Tehran and we could be a good host for them all.”
He mentioned last years ceremony and said: “Last year we had a great cooperation with other organizations and we almost didn’t have any problems except for one or two issues which was caused because of the international flight delays, and we are trying to hold the 23rd ceremony in a proper manner with the position of the founder of the Islamic Republic.”
In continue he stated: “Our representatives have made some people nominees for attending to this ceremony from months ago but the final list of the guests isn’t final yet.”
Dr. Moqaddam mentioned the coincidence of Imam Khomeini’s demise anniversary and the birth of Imam Ali and said: “Because of this coincidence we have considered a special ceremony for the guests which will start from the night of June 3rd and will contain cultural programs, a trip to the holy city of Mashhad and other programs.”
In continue the representative of the AhlulBayt World Assembly mentioned presenting cultural gifts to the guests and said: “After this conference is over we could offer cultural gifts including Imam Khomeini’s works and books in a CD and with English translation as a result for the guests.” This recommend was welcomed by the Secretary of the foreign committee.
The representative of the Culture and Islamic Guidance Ministry mentioned their proposed programs and said: “This ministry is going to hold a concert with a focus on works influenced by the late Imam and from his poems and it’s going to be performed by Tehrans Symphony Orchestra, we also have other cultural programs that by the approval of this committee we will be done.” These programs were also welcomed by the Secretary of the foreign committee and it was decided that the ministry will perform its programs.
Dr. Moqaddam mentioned that a picture and book exhibition will be placed at the residence of the foreign guests and added: “Another important thing that we are going to do for the foreign guests will be a picture and book exhibition placed at their residence, so they could get more familiar with the thoughts and ideas of Imam Khomeini by reading his books during their rest time.”
He told to the IRIB representative and said: “Another thing that we could do is the attendance of the foreign guests in radio programs because the radio could connect with international languages.” The IRIB representative agreed with this subject.
Establishing a telephone center at the residence of the foreign guests and sending the quotes of the Great Leader of the Islamic Republic to the foreign guests by bluetooth was among other programs of the foreign committee.
We should also mention that during the last days of the month of May the final list of the guests will be ready.
