On Friday 6th of October 1978, an airplane from Baghdad landed at Paris-Orly airport. An old man at the age of 76 appeared on the footbridge while having on a cloak, the garment of Islamic scholars. He was Ayatollah Khomeini, whose image is still there; a prophetic hero who fought against cruelty and oppression.

During his 112 days residence at Neuphle-le-Château, from the 6th of October 1978 to the 1st of February 1979, Ayatollah Khomeini, founder of the Islamic Republic and Iranian religious scholar, fought against the monarchy in Iran.
