The investigative journalists also praised the efforts undertaken by the two leaders in order to create unity among different communities and sects of the Muslims.
He went on to say that, the great Imam was a real champion of creating unity between Shia and Sunni Muslims, the two main branches and sects of Islam.
However, the extremist Wahhabis have remained main obstacles in our way towards achieving Shia-Sunni unity, the researcher noted.
The journalist also took notice of ethnic cleansing and deadly violence against Myanmar’s Rohingya Muslims who are fleeing the state-sponsored bloodshed in the western state of Rakhine.
He concluded that the valuable works left by the great Imam—especially the Discipline of Prayer and the Islamic Government (Governance of the Jurist) provided deep insight and knowledge of genuine Islam.
