B) Downfall of the Shah regime and would be forced to flee

• respected young and old learned scholars and students! Be patient and resist; don't yield to oppression. These) people (are on the verge of annihilation and you live on. Bayonet cannot endure vis-a-vis the sentiments of a nation. Those blunt and fictitious swords will be sheathed. We have seen days of utmost darkness and most horrendous and mournful days under the reign of their predecessors. We have seen years of confrontation with the governments of suffocation and terror, with the governments of plunder and cruelty and lack of multi-faceted freedom; yet we resisted until they were gone. • Of course, if these governments stop supporting the Shah, the Shah's regime will soon fall apart, but this doesn't mean that if they support the Shah, we won't win. Our nation's victory is definite, the Shah is a goner and he must go ... whether the Arab and Western governments support him or not. But we expected our Arab brothers to at least have religious consciousness. The Arab nations are on our side, and all of their conditions will change once we win.
