A year had passed since Imam arrived to Najaf. Ayatollah Sayyid Mohammad Taqi Bahrululum who used to be the Prayer Imam of Sheikh Ansari mosque and said prayer at the Sheikh Tousi mosque in mornings, came to Imam and took him to the Sheikh Ansari mosque and made him to stand as the Prayer Imam and he himself stood behind him.
Hojatoleslam Sattari talks about the glory of Imam’s prayer in congregation: “… when we enter a mosque and see people saying their prayers in congregation, by these people we figure out that we can trust this Prayer Imam. Imam’s prayer was like this that whoever entered the Sheikh Ansari mosque or the school of Ayatollah Boroujerdi and didn’t who is the prayer Imam, as he would’ve saw all the clerics behind him saying their prayers he would’ve stand for prayer behind of him immediately. Imam’s prayer in congregation had grandeur.”
Ayatollah Moslim Malakouti says: “… Imam’s prayer in congregation was one of the most glorious prayers both in quality and quantity. Mostly students, scholars and some of the teachers said their prayers behind Imam Khomeini.”
