The grandson of Imam Khomeini made remarks during a recent gathering of a youth at the holy mausoleum of the founder of the Islamic Republic.
The internationally-reputed scholar said that moral and modesty should be observed in words and actions by all members of communities and societies.
He went onto say that Imam believed in observing modesty, respect and moral and ethical values in personal and social life.
The people, who engage in political and social activities, should learn the observation of these principles from Imam’s divine conduct and behavior, the scholar said.
Elsewhere in his remarks, the intellectual emphasized that each individual must start applying the rules of ethics by itself and then must promote these values to further levels across the society.
We should also remain stick to moral principles while dealing with such persons who have even doesn’t have smooth relations with us, he added.
The comments come as Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini during his speeches has frequently emphasized on the promotion of the moral and divine values which help facilitate the material and spiritual progress of the Islamic societies.
It is noteworthy that several academic works left by Imam Khomeini underscore the need for undertaking serious efforts to adopt moral and spiritual values in order to get rid of low desires.
According to Imam, social freedoms are closely related to spiritual liberties. It means if a person has been plunged into social or moral decline, such a person will fall short of respecting the rights and freedom of others.
