Jamaran News Agency reports that this German citizen converted to Islam after hearing Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimeen Gobadi’s explanation regarding the principles and main beliefs of Islam. Carmen also changed her name into a religious one.
Hujjat al-Islam wa al-Muslimeen Gobadi gave a short speech and explained that the religion of Islam is based on the unity of God, social justice and ethics. He further added: “In Islam there is no difference between men and women. Both are human and it is only faith and knowledge that determines the worth and status of each human.”
After converting to Islam, Carmen was united in matrimony with Ali Faraji. Her dowry was fourteen gold coins and a Qur’an. This happy couple also took a tour around Husseiniah Jamaran and viewed different parts of the Imam’s house.
