 Imam Khomeini was the great harbinger of Islamic Unity

Imam Khomeini stressed on pure Islam from the beginning and so a unity was made among the Islamic system so we without relying on the West or the East the Islamic system could be established. Imam Khomeini instead of paying attention to the differences, payed attention to fate, piety and Jihad.

The Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance at the closing ceremony of the 25th International conference of Islamic unity, by mentioning that Imam Khomeini was the great harbinger of unity, said: “From the beginning of the Islamic revolution, unity was mentioned as a basic motto and it has been emphasized in the constitution of the Islamic republic of Iran.”

Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, started his speak like this: “On of Iran’s specifications in 1404 (Iranian solar calendar, equaling the year 2025) is its influence on Islamic and regional convergence based on Islamic principles.”

The Culture and Islamic Guidance Minister added: “Imam Khomeini stressed on pure Islam from the beginning and so a unity was made among the Islamic system so we without relying on the West or the East the Islamic system could be established. Imam Khomeini instead of paying attention to the differences, payed attention to fate, piety and Jihad.”

Hosseini added: “Imam opened a new dialogue which saw justice, freedom and spirituality beside each other. At the time that religion was seen as a poison for nations, Imam Khomeini proved that religion is a symbol of respect, glory and greatness and it could guaranty the prosperity of a nation.”

He mentioned that today we see this kind of spirit and said: “The martyrs of Egypt and other countries won’t stop the people and they will continue their path.”

He added: “This zeal shows they have fate and believe in their choice. I hope that the Islamic awakening would lead to an Islamic unity. It’s the responsibility of the nobles to try for having unity among the Islamic world.”

Later in this ceremony, Sadruddin Qobanchi, Friday Imam of Najaf, named the Islamic revolution as the inspiration of the region’s revolutions and said: “Specially the revolutions after the Islamic revolution of Iran were all inspired by it.”

He stresses that: “It was the concepts of Imam Hossein which  made different groups of people to move in Iran. Imam Hossien is the symbol of sacrifice and devotion. Iran used this spirit of Imam Hossein and different groups of people rises based on this spirit.”

He stated at the end: “Imam Hossein’s concepts also were the inspiration of the Iraqi movement. If these concepts didn’t exist the Iraqi nation couldn’t resist and defeat the invaders.”
