According to Jamaran news agency, the foreign Quran reciters, after visiting Imam Khomeini’s house and Jamaran Husseinah, by reciting Quran honored the name and memory of the founder of the Islamic revolution.
During this ceremony Hojatoleslam Sheikh Hussein Abbas, a Saudi cleric, in a speech pointed to Imam Khomeini’s undeniable role in introducing the pure Islam to the world and said: “Imam Khomeini stood in front of the oppressing powers with a divine goal and proved that by relying on Islam we can stand against any power.”
He mentioned that Imam’s simple way of life caused people to believe his words and added: “Imam Khomeini, always seemed the unity of the Islamic world and he believed that the Shia and the Sunni by relying to God should together rise against the enemies of Islam.”
Sheikh Hassan Abbas also counted the Islamic Awakening through the countries in this region as a result of Imam Khomeini’s thoughts and said: “Imam always emphasized on the awaking of Muslims against the tyrants.”
One of the points that had touched the hearts of the participants of this competition was the simple life and house of Imam Khomeini.
The 29th International Competitions of the Holy Quran began from June 17th at the Milad Tower’s Conference Hall by participation of more than 101 participants from more than 60 European, Asian and African countries and it was finished on Friday June 22nd.
