Imam Khomeini's Image, Installed in Every Palestinian Home

Palestinian Ambassador to Lebanon, Ashraf Dabbour has said that Palestinians have great respect for the founder of the Islamic revolution, Imam Khomeini, and they had installed his pictures at their residences.

Reported by Ahlul-Bayt News Agency (ABNA), the ambassador made remarks during a meeting with the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon, Ghazanfar Rokn Abadi at the Islamic Republic Embassy in Beirut.

Recalling the past decades, the ambassador noted that each Palestinian has kept pictures of Yasser Arafat, chairman (1969–2004)of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), and Imam Khomeini at their residences and homes.

Dabbour also praised the Islamic Republic’s stance on Palestine, emphasizing that Iran has constantly backed this issue of great significance.

The Palestinian ambassador also went on to say that Iran had expelled Israelis out of Tehran and instead of that opened the Palestinian Embassy there. "Today, the Palestinian flag is being waved at the heart and city center of Tehran", he added.

The Iranian ambassador insisted that the issue of Palestine is placed at the top of Iran's agenda and forms the core and heart of its foreign policy.

The Islamic Republic's ambassador also said that Western countries have imposed sanctions against Iran due to our pro-Palestinian policies. "However, Iran will continue to stand by the Palestinian people despite all difficulties and external pressures", he concluded.

It is worth mentioning that both ambassadors highlighted the importance of ‘Quds Day’ as an initiative by Imam Khomeini, and arrangement of several programs on this special occasion were discussed during the meeting.
