Imam Khomeini had named Martyr Arif Hussaini a Mujajid scholar.

A member of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen of Pakistan mentioning the words of the late Imam about Martyr Arif Hussaini, counted this bold Shia leader as the unity flag holder in Pakistan.

Hujatoleslam Abdulkhaliq Assadi in an interview with Fars news agency in Lahore said: "Martyr Hussaini loved the right and truth and as Imam Khomeini has said he was a Mujahid scholar."

The secretary general of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen of the Punjab state on the Martyrdom anniversary of "Allamah Martyr Arif Hussaini" the late Shia leader in Pakistan, added: "Martyr Hussaini was a great student of the late Imam and he was deep in the soul of Imam, this is why on his Martyrdom, Imam in a message said: 'I have lost my dear son'."

Allamah Assadi mentioning his bravery and resistance said: "When the tragedy of the massacre of the demonstrators at the "Distancing Ourselves from Mushrikin" demonstration in Mecca happened and more than 400 Hajjis were martyred, Allamah Hussaini performed this ceremony as Imam had asked and so the Basijis of " Movement for the Enforcement of the Jafari Fiqh" succeeded in delivering the message of the pure Islam to other Hajj pilgrims though they were arrested and tortured for their action."

The leader of the Shias of Punjab state pointed to the spiritual character of Allamah Arif Hussaini and said: "Hussaini was indeed the follower of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and he believed that if God is happy and satisfied then no power in the world could stand against the path of reaching to God." 

Allamah Assadi counted the late Pakistani Shia leader as the unity flag holder of Pakistan and said: "He was the symbol of unity among different Islamic sects and was respected by all Sunni leaders, and all of the religious leaders condemned his terror."

He stated: "Based on Imam Khomeini's words the Shias of Pakistan should keep his works alive and continue the path of this Martyr."

Allamah Martyr Arif Hussaini was a great Pakistani Shia leader who had a close relation with Imam Khomeini and the Islamic revolution. He played a unique role in awakening different groups of people in Pakistan on the path of fighting against oppression.

The late Martyr Arif Hussaini along with his scientific and political boldness had great moral characteristics too and so he found his place in the hearts of Pakistani Muslims very soon and he had also performed descent services.

On August 5, 1988 after saying his prayers at the Darulma'arif theological school in his hometown, Parachinar, he was martyred by gunfire.
